Financial In Market Today Nintendo announced once again show why they will always dominate the handheld market. According to Reuters, Nintendo has now sold more than 20 million Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Advance SP handheld game systems in the United States alone! These numbers are calculated from the original release date on June 2001 until the end of January 2003.

The original Game Boy system only sold 2.4 million units in it's first two and a half years on the market. The Game Boy Color sold 14.3 million units. Combined they make 16.7 million units Vs. GBA's 20 Million. The GBA's numbers are expected to continue to climb as well with the releases of the next Pokemon series.
