New Pokmon Cards Announced

Financial In Market Nintendo of America has announced a new expansion of the Pokmon Trading Card Game. The expansion, Pok mon Trading Card Game: EX Emerald, is set for a release on May 9th, 2005. The new expansion will have over 90 new cards, including holographic basic energy cards. There will also be new Trainer cards.

Expect to see both nine-card booster packs, and two different 60-card theme decks Pokmon TCG: EX Emerald Wildfire and Pok mon TCG: EX Emerald Hydrobloom when the cards launch on May 9th. Theme decks will retail for $10.99, and booster packs for $3.29.

"Each new expansion of the Pokmon Trading Card Game continues to energize the game. EX Emerald focuses on making the battles quicker and more tactical than ever," said Gail Tilden, Nintendo's Vice President of Brand Management.

No new Pok mon Trading Card Game titles were announced for the DS, GBA, or GameCube in the announcement. If there are any new Pokmon Trading Card Game titles announced in the future, we will be sure to keep you updated.
