Imports of petroleum products rose 5.2 percent in May compared to 11.5 percent April. While high, the cost of crude oil declined in May relative to April when crude oil traded over $75 per barrel late in the month. Petroleum prices rose 45.7 percent for the year ended in May.

Day Trading The national average price per gallon of heating oil only dropped .5 cents for the week ending Dec. 23 to 243.3 cents from 243.8 cents per gallon the prior week.

Forex Financial Trading The Natural gas prices on the New York Mercantile Exchange were down .407 at 11.23 per million British thermal units.
