Have you ever thought about what you spend your time doing while you windsurf? I bring this up because I just moved to the San Francisco Bay area and I see a lot of people having trouble staying upwind while sailing in an incoming tide - a.k.a. flood tide. And in San Francisco a flood tide is usually the same direction as the wind, which forces you downwind.

Financial In Market So where does time management come in? You should make it a priority while on the water to do everything you can when you can to stay upwind and avoid that infamous walk of shame back upwind. When you hook into the harness, do it while going upwind. After you jibe, head upwind. When you go for the straps, do it while pointing upwind. You can finish almost every sailing technique with, "Do it while going upwind." Avoid losing precious ground and having to make that walk of shame - just do it upwind.
